The returns problem
TikTok auto-approves refunds while you sleep.
Refund-only requests auto-approve in 1 business day. Return-and-refund requests give you 2 business days. Miss either window and you eat the refund, the shipping, the fees, and the product cost.
UK commission is 9% on most categories, 5% on electronics, 7% on books. Plus £0.50 per self-fulfilled order since July 2025. Every auto-approved refund drags all of those fees through your margin — and the categories most TikTok UK sellers compete in sit at the full 9%.
