Return deadline alerts

Configure when and how Foregrade alerts you about pending returns.

Return alerts are the feature most sellers cite as paying for Foregrade on its own. Here's how to tune them.

Alert channels

  • Email — enabled by default. Sent to your account email.
  • Push notification — opt-in in Settings. Works on desktop + mobile browsers.
  • Webhook — Growth plan. Fires a POST to any URL you configure (Slack, Discord, custom app).

Alert escalation ladder

Foregrade escalates urgency as the deadline approaches. The exact thresholds depend on which UK return-window band the order is in (see Return deadlines):

2-business-day band (orders < £100):

The bigger headroom on the 4-day band means a longer informational lead-in; the 2-day band telescopes the same urgency arc into a tighter window.

Quiet hours

Settings → Alerts → Quiet hours lets you silence non-critical alerts during specific times (e.g., overnight). The Critical and Final tiers always fire regardless — that's when auto-approval is imminent.

Monthly limits (Free plan)

Free plan users get 2 deadline alerts per month. Starter and Growth have unlimited alerts.

If alerts aren't arriving

  1. Check spam folder (alerts@foregrade.io)
  2. Verify email is correct in Settings → Account
  3. Check Settings → Alerts → Email alerts is toggled on
  4. For push: re-grant browser permission at Settings → Alerts
  5. Check /status for any outages
